Friendship Tournament Results

We spent Saturday at the 19th Annual Friendship Tournament held on the University of Southern Maine campus in Gorham, ME. Many of you that follow us on social media probably saw the picture of the kickmobile parked inside the venue. The ability to drive in and out at the field house made this an incredibly easy setup and take down.

Our first customer showed up to the booth at 7:15 am and we didn't get more than a couple five-minute breaks until the end of the day, 3:30. Between spectators and participatns there must have been over a thousand people there, making it quite large for a regional event.

We debuted the new format for our pushup contest and the scores have been updated over at the new site - http://pushups.whistlekick.com. As we add more events we'll do some fun things with the numbers, including averages. Of course, the only number that really matters is the total, and that's the number we'll be using for our awards at the end of the year.

One of the nice things about this event was the open space. Rings were in the middle of a 400m track which left space on and outside the track for spectators and people to prepare and relax. We had quite a number of kids coloring pictures for us, which is always a highlight.

A big thank you to Doshu Allan Viernes and everyone at his Jukado school for hosting us!

Jeremy
