This was a busy but fun weekend for whistlekick. We traveled to Albany, NY on Saturday to meet with Monster Production Studio for a photo shoot of whistlekick gear and apparel. The shoot went wonderfully, and we captured some images behind the scenes. Big thanks to the models for their patience and their willingness to don some whistlekick gear and apparel!

Sunday was tournament day, and we were very honored to have the Capital District Open in Cohoes, NY host us. It was a great event, but a bit different from what many of us are used to. Where most tournaments are built around forms and fighting, this one was a major breaking competition. The breaking was impressive, from the children up through the adult black belts. We were right there in the thick of things and had a great time.

Not one, but two whistlekick World Records at Sunday's event! Not one, but two whistlekick World Records at Sunday's event!

We met a lot of new people, as this was our first event in upstate New York, but it will not be our last. The people were great, the facility was great, and it was only three hours from whistlekick HQ. If you're in New England and looking for some new folks to compete with, or you want to test your breaking against some people that have taken it to a new level, this would be a great event for you!

Here are the results of yesterday's push-up contest.Congratulations to Hailey, Jenna, Brendan and Keith for their excellent push-ups! Extra-special congratulations go out to Hailey and Keith for setting new whistlekick World Records in the challenge! Even more fun, they're Father & Daughter!

Episode 4 of whistlekick Martial Arts Radio was released this morning. If you haven't heard it, check it out! We're seeing tremendous response to the podcast and we'd love to keep that up. Enjoy!
